I’ve just discovered a crafty item named after me, “Big Shot”.  Not that I’m bragging but …   To find out if my favourite crafty store carried I called and they did.  I can now see where I’ll be going today – a little road trip to Surrey.

Upon arrival I was keeping my paws crossed that “zee big (little) boss” (a.k.a. Taffy) wasn’t there.   After entering I looked up and down the aisles and under the counters but didn’t see her – cheers!  I’m free to look as I please, so I thought.  I then made a bee line for the “Big Shot” which has really flamed my interest since it was named after me!  Wasn’t it?

I was so engrossed in checking the machine out I didn’t notice a pair of eyes watching me, but it wasn’t who I thought it was.  It was another shopper who complained about me last month.  Our eyes finally met, but not in a friendly manner, so I decided to get rid of her and clear the area of any other annoyances with one of my famous shakes, a.k.a. the “Basset Drool”.  It worked and I had the area to myself!  After examining the Big Shot from top to bottom I decided to purchase and toddled over to the cash desk.  In my haste I didn’t note the price so when everything was tallied I nearly fell over but decided to purchase anyway.  To remedy spending that amount I will have to refrain (it’s going to be hard) from visiting any crafty stores for an entire month.  

Once home I eagerly removed the packaging and quickly glanced at the instructions but as usual it went in one floppy ear and out the other.  No sense wasting time reading when I wanted to get down to business so I immediately went on-line and found the simplified instructions – a “paws on approach”, which is a much better solution than phoning “zee big (little) boss” as I wasn’t in the mood for any Yorkie chatter!  

I was having great fun trying out the cutting dies but found I needed one more, the “star” outline.  That will enable me to insert a picture of the one and only – “me”, a star in my own right!  This is so much fun that I can’t stop – now I’ll be known as the “Big Shot Basset”…  A name befitting only me!   Don’t you agree?
